ABOUT MK LYONS-CAMPBELL
Born in Melbourne Australia in 1970, some of my early childhood memories involve jumping through garden sprinklers, having my mother at home to greet me and my siblings with icy-poles after long hot summer days at school and laughing whilst my dad gave piggyback rides to our family cat (very slowly around our back yard). Looking back, I regard myself as having been extremely fortunate to have been born into a truly wonderful and incredibly unique family, who officially gifted me the title of Marnie Kathleen.
With Depression eventually coming to impact my life throughout my twenties and into my mid-thirties, escaping this state of mind is what has brought about another great influence. With a collection of typical and not so typical challenging curveball events thrown in for good measure, I have been gradually shaped into who I am today.
As many people appear to drift beyond the grasp of positive mental and spiritual health in today’s world, I often come to question what it is we are missing in regard to contentment. As I continue on my quest in finding answers to many of life’s questions, my number one goal in life has become about spreading the wisdom and compassion I have been gifted by others on my journey.
With me currently being raised by my amazing daughter, son and husband, my interests now centre on family, spiritual development/higher consciousness, raising awareness regarding Depression and writing. And whilst multi-coloured striped socks remain a fairly standard part of my everyday attire, my hair colour continues to evolve from week to week (from pink to purple and beyond). Ultimately, life has simply become about being myself.
